Studying an engineering and manufacturing focused degree, engineering drawings are a key skill learnt from first year and used in every project. Shown below are General Assembly, Detailed and Exploded drawings from a variety of projects.

Engineering Drawings explained

Manufacturing is considered at the start and throughout every project I have undertaken, with the first point of call always being the manufacturing quantity. Throughout my degree course, the need to produce products that are able to be manufactured has been a key skill that is now ingrained within my design process. This is not just for refinement but at the concept and ideation stages as well.
