Food Blender
This 8 week individual project explored the redesign of a food blender for the modern domestic market, with the aim of promoting a 'healthy lifestyle' through form and shape to our chosen target market.
‘Gym-going, health conscious individuals’ was my chosen target market, whilst nature was my inspiration for the form since it was relatable to the large age range (16 - 50) of the market. Specifically, holes in nature were used to inspire the patterned ‘windows’ combined with the use of a free-flowing curve shaping the bottle as not to detract from the patterned section.
Whilst the internal components were designed for a standing food blender, I created a portable blender design, to give my design an edge in the market, whilst promoting a ‘healthy lifestyle’ through its function. The blender section is detachable, for use as a bottle when at the gym.
The operation of the product was designed to be as simple and as quick as possible through the use of one button for power on and off - making the product accessible and easily functioned by all consumers.
